We welcome men and boys of any age who are interested in singing, or would like to be taught how to. The Chorus meets every Thursday evening at Banbury 20 Cricket Club off Ermont Way Banbury OX16 3JT from 7.45 until 10.00 pm. Younger boys may wish to leave rehearsals earlier (no problem!) However, the "older boys" might like to extend the session with an impromptu song at a local pub!

What will be expected of me?... The majority of us cannot read music, so we learn using teaching CDs and tapes. When you decide that you want to join us you too will be given your own set of CDs or tapes. All we do ask is that you are committed to putting in some work in your spare time to learn the music from week to week.

What part do I sing?... When you come to your first rehearsal you are free to sit and watch, but you are invited to sing with us as a group. When you feel confident enough one of the chorus will go through some simple scales so that you, and we, know what type of voice you have. Don´t panic...this is not an audition and it happens away from the others.

What happens next?... When you have been with us for a few weeks and can sing some of the songs you will be loaned a performance outfit. You will then be part of The 5ways Chorus.

Are there any drawbacks?... Well, as you can imagine, this all costs a bit of money, so we ask that you pay a monthly subscription of: £10.00 for adults or £5.00 for children & students. Barbershop can be very addictive... just ask anyone in the chorus.

If you like the sound of all this, talk to one of the chorus members. Just look for someone in a white polo shirt.
